I haven’t relly felt like singing in months because of my lungs.

What is really going on with me? Why can’t the doctor heal my respiratory problems?

I am beyond miserable! I have a feeling in my throat like when you inhale a powder by accident. I feel like something is sitting on my chest. And I have the most productive cough my doctor has ever seen. He said he had never coughed up as much as me. Like at least 16 oz at once.
My granddaddy died of asbestosis and I’m scared I could be that sick or at least have chronic bronchitis like he did. My xray shows the ateletecsis (collapsed lung).

What does it sound like especially since I am always bronchil?

My husband has lung scarring and copd from asbestos exposure. This morning he was working on leaking pipe in our apartment building basement and he turned all grey and had coughing fits and trouble breathing. I looked around and realized that we have damaged exposed asbestos on a lot of pipes. He has only been doing this job for 3 years and became symptomatic of copd 18 months ago. Could this new exposure trigger the reaction. I have already called Occupational Health and Safety

I recently helped move three air conditioners out of the basement of an old firestation now used as a warehouse. While I was working I noticed a white powder underfoot on the stairs leading down to the basement, sometimes an inch or two thick, and when I lifted the air conditioner a white powder that had settled on them got all over my hands, coat, and pants, smearing them a chalky white. However the dust didn’t feel airborn, nothing got on any part of me that didn’t directly touch an airconditioner, I had no trouble breathing, nor did I feel like I was inhaling anything. In total I was handling these air conditioners and in the basement/on the steps for only a few minutes, less than ten. Immediately afterward I brushed what I could off my clothing though they were still dusty, washed my hands and when I was able to get home about eight hours later I changed my clothing and took a shower. Could it have been asbestos and if so does my level of exposure pose any risk?

Asbestos we all know can cause Lung Cancer as you get older but has anyone been diagnosed at an earlier age like 45 or younger. Has anyone heard about Asbestos in Ironing Board Covers? I read an article stating that Ironing Board Covers has a trace of Asbestos in the materials used. Should we be alarmed? Should we throw away all ironing boards and if so, how will we iron our clothes besides using a steam iron? Please help with this difficult solution. I am a bit worried about Asbestos which could be no different than the toxic in the air that can cause Lung Cancer. Any critizm is accepted. Yes, I am a worry-wart. Respirator
Protective Clothing
Double Bag Asbestos
HEPA Vac
Always keep the material damp

Let me know if there are anymore regulations.

Also, how does the HEPA vac work? Does it release any fibers except when you open it to discard the filter?
Also, I believe that our employees are required to change clothes right after messing with asbestos.
Do I have any risks of developing asbestos diseases since they are always removing this stuff? Just like today, I saw a guy wearing a respirator and coveralls to the asbestos change building, which is outside. I did see that his mask was wet, so they had wiped it. It is also possible that they could have sealed the area around the pipe that he was working in without him going physically in it. I am not really sure, but I have seen them do that. This stuff always makes me wonder. I would ask more details, but I am just a contractor and am only here at this one specific plant for 2 weeks.
