i think cystic fibrosos is genetic but viral pneumonia is caused by in infection . asbestosos is i believe cause by removing or working with or in and around asbestos.
Many of my friends died of asbestosis back in the 70’s and 80’s it was discovered by a doctor in Duluth Minnesota while researching deaths of miners. We worked in the Northern Minnesota mills for years with asbestos without proper safety equipment, therefore caught asbestosis without dust masks. I remember asking supervisory for masks when the asbestos dust was so thick we couldn’t see and was told to put a hanky over our mouths. This was all recorded by the way.
The asbestos fibers lodge in the lungs creating small lesions that plug the airways.
Cystic fibrosis is about the same. It’s all about the lungs being damaged and the airways plugged.
Asbestosis is pneumoconiosis due to inhalation of asbestos fibers suspended in the ambient air; sometimes complicated by pleural mesothelioma.
Cystic fibrosis, is a congenital metabolic disorder in which secretions of exocrine glands are abnormal.
Pneumonia is Inflammation of the lung parenchyma characterized by consolidation of the affected part, the alveolar air spaces being filled with exudate, inflammatory cells, and fibrin. Most cases are due to infection by bacteria or viruses.

Asbestosis is caused by inhaling asbestos fibers. Mostly found in people who work with asbestos and who do not use adequate protective gear.
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disorder. It is autosomal recessive if memory serves.
Viral pneumonia is of course caused by viruses.
