does anyone know where i can find someone to check my apartment for asbestos?

All building owners are required to notify the inhabitants or visitors if their is asbestos in the building by a sign. You can also ask the building manager, since they are required to answer you honestly by law.

Well, it’s probably too late now for you to care because it only takes a few weeks for cancer to develop. I wouldn’t worry about checking , just go see a doctor and he can tell you if you have lung cancer or not.

You likely have lead paint too. Asbestos is usually in floor tile and pipe insulation. If those things are not sheding material, there may not be a lot of air contamination
