What I was trying to point out was James Hardie caused all these deaths and future deaths of innocent people and they now trade in the USA like they have done nothing wrong. They have paid out some compensation but it’s not enough.

I don’t think any company in 2008 should be using asbestos in any country,it is too harmful.There are vast numbers of people around the world that have died from this product,not just in Australia.I just think people need to know about James Hardies not so distant past,they only stopped making building products with asbesto in the early 80’s.I’m sure they still used it in brake pads up till a few years ago.

probably those scientists are already dead. asbestos has icredible properties, but its fibers are a deadly shit. however, asbestos is still used in some products. ie, in the lab i worked some instruments are protected with it from excessive heat. but the boss didn’t protected us, so we sued him. LOL

You need to remove the interstitial comments–we all know asbestos is bad–the interest of this clip is how little they cared about health safety. Beating us over the head with that just lessens the impact of the video.

Also, “killer, terminal cancer”? I’ve heard of killer cancer, and I’ve heard of terminal cancer. But killer terminal cancer! Oh no!

you are living up to your own name. James Hardie were not the only company manufacturing products with asbestos in it. There are still companies in many developing countries that use asbestos. There is no way James Hardie or any of these other companies knew asbestos was deadly when they first started using it. How can you be so nieve to blame James Hardie for this naturally occurring mineral.

my mum has OCD about asbestos. its right that its dangerous, but she takes everything too far. for example we had an asbestos pipe removed 6 years ago and everyday since then she has been crying and screaming about the house being contaminated (even though it was removed completely safely). ive never met any one who has this same problem. i need desperate help.

asbestos is a big joke… only working with it everyday would be dangerous. some exposure to it wouldnt hurt
