1. What is the biggest source of CO2 emissions?

2. True or False, Humans have caused more species to go extinct than any other cause.

3. True or False, inhaling one fiber of asbestos will cause lung cancer.

    1) Well if you’re talking about biggest overall source, it’s probably the oceans as part of the natural carbon cycle. If you’re talking about biggest human source, it’s deforestation.

    2) Any cause in history or any modern cause? Tough to answer without more specifics, but as a general modern times answer I’ll say true. If you’re talking about in the history of the planet, it’s false.

    3) Hmm one fiber? I’ll have to answer false, but I know that generally inhaling asbestos leads to lung cancer. I just don’t think 1 fiber is sufficient.

    1) Deforestation. It’s a double whammy on a large scale. It releases large amounts GHG’s and reduces the ability of that land to perform as a CO2 sink.

    2) False, More species have gone extinct in the past than even exist now. Some of the previous extinction events wiped out the majority of life on Earth at the time.

    3) False. Most types of asbestos will have no effect on a person, but of those types that do, I’m sure it’s more of an of statistics than anything else.
